The Royal Mail unveiled a set of 12 special stamps that celebrated famous British video games from the 1980s and 1990s. The collection is designed to highlight some of the most famous sports of the era when the UK sports industry was growing into a multi-billion dollar business. These are part of a collection of classic stamps such as worms, lemmings, wipe outs, tomb riders, and sensible soccer that will go on sale later this month.
Tom Rider has a total of four stamps, which highlights the adventures of Lara Craft over the years. The collection represents a variety of game consoles, including some titles on systems such as BBC Micro, ZX Spectrum, Commodore Amiga, and Sega Mega Drive.
"The UK has been at the forefront of the video game industry for decades," Royal Mail's Philip Parker said in a statement to ITV. Set up a template for the industry with you to play with. We celebrate some of their historical creations on stamps.
Exclusive video game stamp collection will be available in the UK on January 21st, and you can already order a pack of .2 14.25 at the Royal Mail's online store.
