ISLAMABAD: Dr Zafar Mirza, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Health, has indicated that further steps are likely to be taken by the government after providing relief to the citizens by reducing the cost of 89 medicines.
In his statement to the media, Dr Zafar Mirza said that under the Madison Policy 2018, the price of 89 medicines was reduced by 15% following the approval of the Federal Cabinet. Came in the pharmaceutical category, which includes cholesterol, blood pressure and anti. Biotic drugs
He added that the latest decision will provide relief to the citizens.
Earlier on Tuesday, after the federal cabinet cut prices at its meeting, the Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) notified 89 Prime Minister Imran Khan's price reduction.
The Federal Cabinet has decided to reduce the cost of 89 medicines by 15%, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza has said. The prices of many life-saving medicines have also been reduced, he said.
The decision has now come into force with the notification.
