Islamabad: The Prime Minister's Special Adviser on Health, Dr Zafar Mirza, has said that the Federal Cabinet has approved the restructuring of the Ministry of Health.
Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination will be named after the Ministry of Health and Population. He added that the ratio of technical and administrative positions in the ministry was balanced as 80 percent of the posts are in the administrative category and the remaining percent are technical.
Officers and staff members from the administrative category have no background in their field of work, Dr. Mirza said, adding that the technical staff needed to eliminate the shortage of trained personnel and health professionals. A recommendation of up to 70% was approved. Ministry.

He said the federal cabinet also approved the establishment of the National Health Service Group.
Earlier on January 1, Dr. Zafar Mirza announced 2020 health goals, including polio eradication, the disappearance of syringes and the issuance of a health insurance card.
